3rd Comenius – project meeting in Falkenberg / Germany – 4th to 9th November 2007

07.04.2008 Time 13:31, Ute Nitschke

It was a great week: people from 5 nations stayed together in Falkenberg for 5 days. At the beginning the inhabitants of the small town were wondering about such an international group of students and teachers. But very soon it became clear that these guests of the secondary school “Oberschule Falkenberg” came for a special reason. They were all participants of the common project “Europe without borders” and wanted to learn about our school, the area, the people and special things concerning the project. On the one side we had discussions, role plays and exhibitions about our topic but on the other side we realised sports competitions, presentations and trips to Berlin and Dresden to give our guests the chance to see the sights and typical features of our country. During the week we learned a lot about customs and traditions of our partners and many friendships developed. Now we look forward to meeting the project partners again – this time in Belgium. Hello London!

07.04.2008 Time 12:26, Ute Nitschke

From 18th to 23rd November 2007 we went to London with students of the 9th and 10th forms. We stayed at the Lords – Hotel and discovered London in different ways. Especially the guided city-tour was very interesting and gave us a general view of the mega city. In particular The Tower Bridge, Madame Tussaud's and the London Eye were the most favoured sights which we visited. A great event was the fascinating musical “We will rock you” – it inspired us to feel the rhythm, to sing and to clap. Unfortunately a week can be very short but we are sure: we will come back to this unique city!!! Read more »
